I can't believe that I haven't posted anything since November. So much has happened since then. Thanksgiving and Christmas were very fabulous except that I was extremely pregnant. After we enjoyed a fabulous Christmas dinner cooked by Chef Todd, I had a conversation with God that I was ready to have this baby whenever he wanted it to happen. At 2:00 in the morning my water broke and Todd and I made the journey to The Woodlands. On December 26, 2010, at 10:13 a.m., God blessed us with a beautiful baby girl. Audrey weighed 6 lbs, 9 oz and was 19 inches long. Labor and delivery were fairly easy and very similar to when I had Paige. Paige is such a proud big sister and kisses and loves on Audrey as much as possible - even 9 weeks later.
When Audrey was one month old she ran a fever which sent us to the emergency room at St. Luke's in The Woodlands. After running some tests, including a spinal tap, we learned that Audrey had a urinary tract infection. This landed us a very nice room at the St. Luke's Resort and Spa for 10 days so that Audrey could get a full round of antibiotics. It was very stressful and scary that first day but once she started responding to the antibiotics everything was fine. It was just a very long visit. We survived and she is doing great now.
