I Scream, You Scream We All Scream

for ICE CREAM! Todd & Paige enjoy eating ice cream for dessert. Well, we've actually switched to frozen yogurt. I'm not much of a sweet eater so I rarely join in the fun. Audrey, however, appears to be a natural.

Audrey has added a couple more words to her vocabulary - Dada and thank you.

I asked Paige what she kind of a vacation she wanted to go on this summer. Her response, "I want to see Justin Beiber."

Ring Around the Rosy and Natural Born Fisherman

Hi. Dog. Uh-oh. Ashes, Ashes? These are Audrey's first words. Dixie sings Ring Around the Rosy to her everyday and now Audrey sings "ashes, ashes". It is absolutely adorable. She was singing it to herself in her bed last night. I wonder if she will ever say Mama & Dada.

We had a great weekend. Paige and I went shopping Saturday and I got some new shoes and a purse. Paige bought herself a Justin Beiber bracelet. She informed me that she wasn't going to have a good day at school today because I won't let her wear her bracelet. I have no idea why she has Beiber fever and I don't even think she understands it.

Yesterday, we were invited to the ranch where Todd runs Gunner most weekends. I am not very spontaneous and this took place a couple of hours before we were to leave. I hopped in the shower and Todd was a trooper and packed everything for the girls.

The girls got to pet horses which both seemed to enjoy and Paige got to ride a horse which she loved. She and Todd fished most of the time. Paige caught a 1 lb bass but I wasn't able to get a picture because it got off the hook before she finished reeling it in. At least he jumped out of the water so we were able to see him. Even Todd was impressed with how well Paige could cast. The ended up walking over to another pond so I couldn't see what was going on. She ran over to tell me that she caught a giant catfish and showed me how big he was. Little did I know that these ponds aren't stocked with catfish. Apparently, she caught her hook on something and it was a struggle to pull it out. Half of the "frog" that she was fishing with was missing. She told Todd it was a giant catfish and he went along with it. She has such a great imagination and fisherman are always telling "tall-tales" about their fishing experiences - seems like a perfect match.

I didn't get many pictures of the fun but here are a few.

Happy 5th Birthday Paige

I can't believe that my baby is already 5 years old. Paige turned 5 on March 5. We had a party at Pump It Up. I think she had a very good time. We invited some close family friends and friends of hers from school. Since she is a social butterfly she has lots of friends. She also got her ears pierced the weekend before. There were some tears shed but she did pretty well especially since they had to redo one of her ears because it was crooked. I also want to mention that my neighbor Sherry Montes made Paige's cake. She did such a great job!

At 5 years old, Paige is:
-an awesome big sister - she loves playing with Audrey and Audrey adores her
-very opinionated about what she wants to wear (she told me she couldn't wear a dress I had picked out for her because it had pockets, it was pink and it didn't match her earrings - they are fake diamonds by the way. I told her everything matches sparkle)
-likes to talk about her boyfriend "Lucas" - he gave her a cute hoodie and a bottle of bath and body works lotion for her bday
-she loves to play pretend and has the most creative imagination
-favorite movie is How to Train Your Dragon - we often have "Toothless" the dragon riding in our car. He takes up a lot of room.
-still enjoys helping Mommy pick up, clean and cook
-is very dramatic and a little sassy
-loves to sing and dance
-knows she can pretty much get anything she wants if she offers to snuggle with Mommy
(she is usually too big for that and it has to be her idea)

Paige we are so proud of you. You are growing up to be a very big girl.
